Research lines

• Study of cAMP signaling pathways as regulators of processes involved in breast cancer progression

We study the mechanisms regulating intracellular and extracellular cAMP levels and their relationship with cellular processes involved in tumor progression.

• Study of Plectranthus neochilus extracts in human breast cancer cell lines

This research focuses on evaluating the antitumor properties of extracts from Plectranthus neochilus, a plant belonging to the same family as Coleus forskohlii, the source of forskolin, a potent activator of adenylate cyclase. We are currently evaluating both the cellular effects of these extracts and the signaling mechanisms underlying their activity.

Implementation research

We are currently developing projects in different locations across the province to investigate the barriers and facilitators associated with colorectal cancer screening in the public healthcare system. This research will provide a foundation for the future adoption of context-appropriate health policies and interventions, with the aim of increasing screening coverage and achieving measurable benefits for the target population.
